As players look to continue their development, many pursue training outside of regular season association hockey. Below are some nearby options as a starting point.

SLPHA Programs

SUMMER OF SUNDAYS HOCKEY SKILLS

Join your friends and teammates for Summer of Sundays at the Rec Center! Sessions will be a combination of stations plus small area, cross-ice and half-ice games. The players will be grouped by age, experience, and skill. Open to all returning youth (Mite, Squirt, Peewee) and girls (6U, 8U, 10U, 12U).

Parent-Organized Options

Minnesota All-Star Hockey

Teams are generally formed within players' 1-yr age group. Up to 10 games against nearby competition; no practices. Cost is roughly $125-$150 per skater.

  • Spring: April/May (Feb registration)

3v3 Leagues

Each team has three skaters and a goalie on the ice at a time. Leagues run spring, summer and fall. Some leagues offer the opportunity to sign up individually or get your friends together and form a team!
