Player Equipment Rental
Gear Details
New mites and HP 6U/8U skaters in St. Louis Park are eligible to rent gear for the hockey season. The goal of the program is to help minimize costs down for families who are starting out in their first season. Rental gear will be available at pick up events on a first come first served basis.

What to expect
Rentals cover September through March, intended to include preseason clinics through the end of the regular season. All pickup and returns take place at the St. Louis Park Rec Center equipment room located under the stadium seating in the West Rink.
Gear Pickup
Gear pickup windows will be scheduled in advance of the season; you must attend one of these sessions to obtain gear.
Please register in advance to help ensure gear availability. Once gear has been handed out, sessions will no longer be scheduled.
While at a session:
- Player will check in with the volunteer to confirm the player is fully registered
- Player will be guided through stations to be fitted and issued equipment
Recommendation: Players should wear lightweight clothing under their gear during the season, and wear that to the session to help with fitting.
Fall Pickup Windows
- Saturday, Sep 28: 12:30 - 2:00pm
- Tuesday, Oct 1: 6:00 - 7:00pm
- Monday, Oct 7: 4:15 - 5:45pm
- Saturday, Nov 2: 9:00 - 11:00am
gear return
Return windows will be available following the end of the season. Any gear not returned is subject to a replacement charge.
Rookie Camp
- If you are not continuing to play hockey during the regular season, please email equipment@slphockey.com to coordinate a return date & time. Gear can also be returned in one of the defined fall pickup windows.
Termite/Mite/8U/6U
- Planned to occur in March 2025.
2024-25
Equipment Rental for 2024-2025 is closed for the season. Ongoing support is provided on a case by case basis. Please reach out to the Equipment Coordinator with any questions or requests.
